Key Technical Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage tasks, overseeing team members to ensure the seamless integration of right-of-way planning into project development.
  • Provide essential technical support to project teams throughout all phases, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Evaluate the impact on right-of-way and identify necessary real estate for proposed enhancements. Prepare GIS exhibits such as constraint and vicinity maps.
  • Assist in identifying and managing potential risks and challenges related to land acquisition, including environmental concerns, zoning regulations, and community feedback.
  • Support the evaluation and documentation of costs associated with addressing any issues related to acquired properties.
  • Gather and analyze data to assess the potential impacts of transportation projects, collaborating with engineers for design assessments.
  • Deliver professional engineering design services for transportation enhancements, ensuring quality outputs within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Coordinate with essential support disciplines, including land and property surveyors, utility and drainage specialists, and structural and geotechnical engineers.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local real estate regulations, including the Uniform Relocation Act and Real Property Acts.
Project Management Duties
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure quality deliverables are met within the established timeline and budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical and cost proposals for various projects.
  • Document project performance, milestones, and progress to guarantee timely completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Successful completion of the PE exam or other relevant professional certification.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in transportation design.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in MicroStation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in spreadsheet and database management.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation Range:
$78,000 - $104,007.00
