The Biomedical Equipment Specialist II is responsible for responding to service requests to assess, troubleshoot, and execute repairs and scheduled maintenance on increasingly intricate biomedical devices, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:- Assess complex biomedical equipment challenges and implement suitable repair solutions.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and uphold strong customer relationships.
- Guide and mentor others on adherence to company policies, procedures, and necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and colleagues.
- Engage in proactive communication with clients to ensure issue resolution and follow-up, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Support business objectives by implementing service contracts.
- Lead and assist technicians in both basic and advanced repair tasks.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure efficient service delivery across all accounts.
- Share on-call responsibilities and document all repair activities as per schedule.
- Ensure proper maintenance of tools, spare parts, and test equipment, including calibration.
- Manage inventory of approved parts and oversee vendor service delivery in compliance with company policies.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge of current standards and procedures related to medical equipment.
- May take on the role of Site Leader, directing activities of fellow technicians and engaging in customer relationship management.
- Comply with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical equipment service; or equivalent military training with 2+ years of experience in servicing electrical or mechanical devices; or a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in medical equipment service.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to clients in an understandable manner.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted, along with frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
- Capability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, along with good hand and finger dexterity.
- Specific vision abilities required may include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Willingness to be available for after-hours support or participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent issues.
