Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dragline Operator to join our team at Lhoist North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our dragline equipment, ensuring optimal production and efficiency in our quarry operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain our Manitowoc 4600 stockpiling shot limestone dragline, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the dragline, including lubrication and inspection, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain open communication with the Mine Manager and other team members to ensure seamless coordination and reporting of equipment status and maintenance requirements.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Backup and Support: Provide backup support to other team members as needed, and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in heavy equipment operation and/or mining is required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting for extended periods.
