Position Overview:
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist II, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests on biological specimens. This role requires a solid understanding of analytical testing and adherence to laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
- Conduct pre-analytical tasks, including equipment maintenance and specimen processing.
- Perform analytical tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to established standards.
- Report results and provide technical support for laboratory testing across all age groups.
- Train and mentor new staff and students, ensuring proper documentation of their training.
- Support laboratory operations and assist in the evaluation of new testing techniques.
- Participate in safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of relevant technical experience.
- Certification from recognized bodies such as American Medical Technologists or American Society for Clinical Pathology.
