Job Summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor II to join our team at the Ernestine Glossbrenner Unit in San Diego, Texas. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in helping at-risk individuals achieve success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and coordinating chemical dependency counseling programs
Provide comprehensive evaluations and assessments to offenders
Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on offender needs and characteristics
Provide counseling and recovery skills training to offenders
Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED) required
Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment or education
Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals
Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record
