Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to support our corporate operations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and uploading journal entries essential for the month-end General Ledger closure, as well as conducting reconciliations of assigned accounts to ensure accuracy. Your collaboration with various departments, including Legal, Risk Management, and Financial Reporting, will be crucial in delivering timely reports and gathering necessary information for accruals and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze and reconcile financial and statistical information.
  • Month-End Processes: Execute month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and issue resolution.
  • Closing Activities: Engage in closing activities while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Record Maintenance: Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with company policies and GAAP standards.
  • Report Preparation: Generate annual tax work papers, 10K schedules, and other required monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to provide assistance on time-sensitive projects, employing effective teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in general or cost accounting is necessary; public accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential, along with effective time management skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary.
