About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team at Elmer's Restaurants. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including line cooks, dish machine operators, and other support personnel.
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation strategies to maximize sales and profit potential.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory levels, and food waste, making adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement business strategies, including marketing initiatives and customer service programs.
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance and career growth.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and usage.
  • Develop and implement cost-control measures, including menu engineering and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are properly trained and certified in food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a kitchen management or supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of success in leading kitchen teams, driving sales growth, and controlling costs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Valid Food Handler's Permit and ability to speak, read, and understand English fluently.
