Respiratory Care Specialist

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) plays a vital role in providing life-supporting treatments and medications to patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary ailments. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RT conducts diagnostic examinations and administers specified respiratory treatments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administer respiratory treatments and medications to patients with various conditions
- Conduct diagnostic examinations to diagnose cardiovascular and pulmonary ailments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
- Certification and registration from the National Board of Respiratory Therapy Care
- Minimum of one year experience in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current PALS, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
The Respiratory Therapist will work in a fast-paced acute care environment, providing care to patients with a variety of conditions. The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift 35 pounds. The working environment is generally pleasant, clean, and well-maintained.
