Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Admissions Screener to join our team at The McGuire Group Inc. This is a full-time position responsible for coordinating all admissions and transfers to our facilities.

About the Position:

  • This role requires screening and recommending patients for long-term or subacute care.
  • The successful candidate will visit designated hospital assignments daily, maintaining a thorough understanding of age-specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents.
  • This individual will coordinate room changes and inter-facility transfers upon request and following approval of the resident's physician.
  • Responsibilities include interacting with residents and family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner.
  • Maintaining a daily census record for the assigned facility is also an essential task.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Social Work, LPN/RN Nursing, Therapy, or another health-related field from an accredited institution, is required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Admissions Screening and long-term care is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate must be flexible, professional, and reliable, possessing strong customer service skills.
  • A valid New York State Driver's License and transportation availability for job-related travel are also necessary.

Benefits:

Full-time employment offers a competitive salary ranging from $26.00/hr. to $34.00/hr., dependent on clinical experience and licensure, along with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
