Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Perioperative Care Coordinator, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care in our operating rooms. As a member of our surgical team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate total nursing care for perioperative patients, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote informed decision-making and self-care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts and electronic medical records
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing or related field; BSN preferred
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in New York State
- At least 2 years of experience in surgical nursing, preferably in a perioperative setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with ability to adapt to changing situations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with others
