Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and design stages of construction projects, contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs, and performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including design and construction phases.
  • Cost Management: Conduct cost calculations, prepare financial projections, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee construction engineering processes, perform regular tests on materials and procedures, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Project Reporting: Present project progress updates to clients and senior management, and document processes and construction logs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or similar field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a construction engineer in a relevant field of specialization.
  • Skills: Advance proficiency in construction management software, such as Build Smart and Smartsheet; in-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations; exceptional leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; great mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
Work Environment

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.

Additional Qualifying Factors
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
  • BSNC gives hiring, promotion, training, and retention preference to BSNC shareholders, shareholder descendants, and shareholder spouses who meet the minimum qualifications for the job.
