Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. The successful candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide optimal care to patients throughout their surgical experience.
  • Maintain a positive and caring attitude with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Ensure patient safety through appropriate transport, transfer, and positioning of patients.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Anesthesiologist, Surgical Technologist, and Surgeon to ensure safe patient care.
  • Monitor the environment to ensure sterile technique is maintained throughout the procedure.
  • Operate and troubleshoot OR surgical equipment.
  • Provide professional intra-operative nursing care of the patient by utilizing the nursing care process and making a plan for patient care.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
  • Circulating and/or Scrubbing in experience.
  • Valid and good standing Virginia Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Active BLS and ACLS.
