Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View. As a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our multispecialty surgery center.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room flow.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and surgical needs.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical procedures and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a professional school of nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current license as a VA Registered Nurse.
  • BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.
  • 2 years' Operating Room experience preferred.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
