Position Title: Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing customer specifications to identify control system needs, electrical component specifications, and wiring criteria. You will collaborate with sales and estimation teams to define design requirements and associated costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Electrical Schematic Designs, establishing standards for schematics.
  • Generate Bills of Material and create detailed Panel Layouts.
  • Utilize your expertise in PLC capabilities, programming, and HMI programming, particularly with Allen Bradley Micro, Compact Logix, and Siemens S7.
  • Implement motion control systems, including servo control and motor control with VFDs.
  • Facilitate Fieldbus Communications and ensure compliance with Safety PLCs and relays.
  • Adhere to CE and UL electrical standards.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and training materials.
  • Design and determine network architecture.
  • Lead programming and wiring teams, providing troubleshooting support for wiring, PLC code, and overall machine functionality.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in PLC programming, with a preference for Allen-Bradley software.
  • Strong background in controls and electrical design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for machine design.
  • Knowledge of panel design and UL standards.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Beckhoff systems.
  • Expertise in Compact Logix and Micro systems.
  • Proficient in HMI programming and troubleshooting.

Employment Type: This is a permanent role.

Work Environment: You will be part of a manufacturing setting, collaborating with a dedicated engineering team of five professionals, working cross-functionally with mechanical and electrical teams.
