Role Summary:

The Human Resources Administrator (HRA) plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the HR department. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of HR, the HRA is tasked with various administrative responsibilities including onboarding, managing employee records, payroll processing, and supporting the overall HR functions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an administrative capacity is required.
  • An Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with ADP systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in database management.

Key Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Administrator will support the daily functions of the HR department, including but not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support to HR team members, including calendar management and meeting coordination.
  • Conducting data entry tasks as needed, such as updating employee information and maintaining HRIS records.
  • Preparing payroll documentation for staff changes, including new hires and terminations.
  • Assisting with the orientation process by preparing necessary materials and coordinating logistics.
  • Supporting compliance efforts and conducting HR audits.
  • Managing background checks for new hires and volunteers.
  • Maintaining accurate HR files and documentation.
  • Responding to inquiries from applicants and employees regarding policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and integrity of HR records.
  • Updating HR spreadsheets and conducting periodic audits of files.
  • Facilitating smooth communication within the department and addressing employee queries.
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned by the VP of HR or AD of HR.
  • Supporting documentation requests from other departments.
  • Assisting with employee timekeeping and payroll submissions.
  • Participating in HR events and managing departmental supplies.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with ADP and HRIS systems.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical aptitude.
