Key Responsibilities- Review menus and guest orders to determine the types and quantities of food to prepare, accurately measuring and portioning all food items.
- Adhere to all portion sizes, quality standards, departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items, including knives, slicers, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, and ovens.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure correct food storage.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of all menu items, packaging products to specifications.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as directed and in accordance with guidelines.
- Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and adequately stocked.
- Comply with all health codes and sanitation regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in back-of-house food service is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand prep sheets and recipes.
- Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping various foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
- Standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at the waist, bend, and squat.
- Occasional pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms.
- Work environment may have moderate to high noise levels.
- Frequent exposure to hot and humid conditions.
