Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team at Phase Consulting. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing project controls functional area for large-scale capital engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting.
  • Lead and direct the work of project controls personnel, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of project controls information.
  • Establish and implement operating policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to project managers and corporate management on project controls best practices.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the overall master schedule.
  • Mentor and lead a large staff of project controls team members, conducting regular performance reviews and managing staffing issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, and 12 years of experience in Construction Management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in project controls.
  • Or, High School diploma or GED, and 16 years of experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or business-related field, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in project controls.
  • Strong understanding of Primavera and overall planning process and best practices on capital mining projects.
  • Leadership ability, strong management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with ability to multi-task in a high-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mining construction projects.
  • ERP system, estimating software, SAP, and EcoSys experience.
  • Understanding of accounting functions and systems.
  • Experience with cost control, including project estimating, forecasting, and cost management, including reporting.
