Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at SDI LaFarga. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as mobile equipment and conveyors.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide shift support and leadership, help plan and organize down days, and assist with production as needed.
  • Quality and Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality, and assist with the creation and editing of SOPs, JSAs, and Lock Out Procedures.
  • Training and Development: Mentor junior employees and assist with their training and development.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a mill or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Substantial knowledge of safety procedures, including LOTOTO, Confined Spaces, Mobile Equipment, Crane, Fall Protection, and Machine Guarding. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. PLC and drive experience a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-starter with a strong sense of hazard awareness and recognition. Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. Good math skills and good oral communication skills.
