Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and bar, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and equipped to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and direction to associates to ensure that they are meeting quality and service standards.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including managing labor costs, maintaining budgeted revenues, and ensuring that staff are properly trained.
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, and maintain a floor presence during peak meal periods to ensure optimal guest service.
  • Conduct routine brand standard audits to ensure optimal service execution, and complete additional duties as assigned by hotel leadership.
  • Monitor servers and bus-person adherence to all service standards, and supervise the service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
  • Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time, and must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Prior restaurant and bar supervisory experience required; hotel restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work calmly under stressful situations, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
