Position Overview: The Vice President of Tax will spearhead the global tax division, overseeing all federal and international tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and manage the organization's tax strategy and planning, ensuring alignment with both current and future business objectives while optimizing resources.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the tax team, fostering a culture that aligns with company values and promotes financial success; take ownership of talent development and succession planning.
  • Analyze tax implications of new initiatives, including products, contracts, business ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Supervise the income tax accounting process in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Enhance the tax department's reporting systems and processes, ensuring robust internal controls.
  • Manage cash tax obligations and effective tax rates.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax filings.
  • Guide the implementation of transfer pricing policies in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Manage tax-related audits, ensuring necessary coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on evolving tax legislation and advise management on its implications for the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is competitive, reflecting the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:

  • 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with a focus on international tax; experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, and relevant certifications such as CPA or JD preferred.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities, with excellent communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • Experience with both domestic and international tax matters, including compliance, transfer pricing, and financial reporting.
  • Proven management experience with a track record of developing a high-performing tax team and fostering cross-functional relationships.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on critical thinking and innovation.
