Role of the Mechanical Operations Technician
The Mechanical Operations Technician plays a crucial role in executing mechanical application tasks and supporting the upkeep and repair of equipment to ensure compliance with both company and regulatory standards. This position embodies the SOLitude culture and service excellence.
- Conduct mechanical control applications efficiently
- Identify and observe aquatic vegetation
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment
- Support the implementation of environmental control measures as per project specifications
- Operate various machinery including watercraft and aquatic harvesters
- Maintain detailed logs of project-specific activities
- Provide regular updates on project status to the Project Coordinator
- Help train new staff on equipment operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Division for equipment maintenance and repairs
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately
- Submit receipts and work hours in an organized manner
- Travel to various project sites as required
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical applications
- Comfortable operating equipment on water
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently or in a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Positive and reliable attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Open to innovative ideas
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Completion of required licensing and certification programs
