Position Overview:

Are you passionate about assisting others? U-Haul is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Customer Service Representative. In this position, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to represent U-Haul's outstanding service, ensuring customers receive the necessary support during their experiences by inspecting and maintaining equipment. You will also utilize modern technology to manage equipment dispatch and returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers at the U-Haul center with various products and services.
  • Utilize smartphone technology to oversee rentals and inventory.
  • Handle and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inspect equipment, including checking fluid levels.
  • Provide information and educate customers about products and services.
  • Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment.
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring.
  • Refill propane (certification provided upon employment).
  • Operate a forklift (certification provided upon employment).
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Engage in ongoing training through U-Haul University.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

This role involves moderate risks or discomforts that necessitate special safety precautions, such as working around moving machinery or handling irritant chemicals. Protective gear may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The position demands some physical activity, including prolonged periods of standing, moving indoors and outdoors, reaching for items at various heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
