Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:

  • Assist customers at U-Haul centers with products and services.
  • Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory.
  • Move and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers.
  • Clean and inspect equipment, including checking fluid levels.
  • Provide information and educate customers about products and services.
  • Prepare rental invoices and handle returned equipment.
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring.
  • Fill propane (certification provided upon employment)
  • Operate a forklift (certification provided upon employment)
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Engage in ongoing education through U-Haul University.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The role involves moderate risks or discomforts that require specific safety measures, such as working around moving machinery or potentially hazardous materials. Protective clothing or gear may be necessary.

Physical Demands:

The position requires physical effort, including prolonged periods of standing, moving indoors and outdoors, reaching for objects at various heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
