Pilot Freight Services is seeking an experienced International Export Operations Specialist to join our team in our Northlake, IL office. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate processing of international ocean and air shipments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- International ocean and air bookings and tracking and tracing
- Providing general customer service and support
- Completing proper paperwork and documentation
- Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges and communicating with clients regarding shipment status
- Ensuring adherence to TSA/KSMS and other government regulatory compliance standards
- At least 5 years of experience as an International Operations Agent
- Ability to work in a demanding, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent; BA degree preferred
- Experience with freight forwarding and logistics operations
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
