Job Description

The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in the management of a Taco Bell restaurant, working closely with the Restaurant General Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and profit maximization. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a culture of recognition and motivation to drive results through others
  • Recruit and equip high-quality operators to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Build a healthy and robust bench of developed and capable managers and team members
  • Lead performance management processes for all employees in the restaurant
  • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs
  • Control day-to-day operations, including scheduling labor and ordering food and supplies
  • Ensure local health and safety codes and company safety and security policies are met
  • Drive customer-focused culture by serving as a role model in resolving serious customer issues and training managers to meet or exceed customer service standards
Requirements
  • High school minimum, university degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of operational management experience in the quick service restaurant industry or retail environment, including profit and loss responsibility
  • Basic business math and accounting skills to manage profit and loss in the restaurant
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with exceptional team building capability
  • Basic personal computer literacy
  • Passionate about providing excellence in execution of quality food, service, cleanliness, and speed standards
  • Dynamic, energetic, and positive leader, self-starter, proactively driven to get things done, and does the right thing for the business
