Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and charismatic Restaurant Host to join our team and be the first point of contact for our valued guests. As a Restaurant Host at The Pump House, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat guests with a smile, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Manage reservations, both over the phone and in person, and assist with waitlist coordination.
  • Provide accurate wait times and escort guests to their tables while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate with the restaurant team to manage table turnover and customer flow.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized host stand, lobby, and waiting areas.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Host or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A warm, friendly, and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic restaurant environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Knowledge of reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus.
