Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team as an Educational Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in assisting classroom instruction and supporting student learning.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid California Driver's License. To demonstrate Highly Qualified status, candidates must meet one of the following educational criteria:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND
(a) Completion of two years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units), OR
(b) An Associate's degree or higher, OR
(c) Successful completion of an approved Paraprofessional Certificate and/or Assessment Exam.

If you do not meet these requirements, we are committed to assisting you in qualifying through our testing opportunities.


Under the No Child Left Behind Act, it is essential that paraprofessionals assisting in classroom instruction fulfill the specific educational requirements listed above.


Proof of relevant certificates and educational credentials will be required upon recommendation for employment.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional disabilities, and behavioral disorders.
  • Experience in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) or Special Day Class (SDC).
