Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of environmental services staff
  • Ensure quality standards are met in all aspects of environmental services
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for students and faculty
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of projects and programs
  • Train and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Monitor and maintain records of income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment
  • Act as a liaison between building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Two years of experience in environmental services, preferably in a school or healthcare environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to work all shifts as needed
  • Knowledge of environmental services, laundry, and floor care program requirements
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required
  • Written and oral communication and teaching skills
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
