Job Title: Maintenance Trades Specialist

Estimated Salary:$55,000 - $70,000 per year.

The Maintenance Trades Specialist at DC Staffing Solutions performs a wide range of maintenance functions at multiple commercial properties. This includes non-profit campuses with daycare and commercial kitchens, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots. The role requires a diverse set of skills to maintain the properties according to ownership objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair issues in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electricals, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs in line with company procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and conduct building and safety inspections.
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
  • Be available for on-call duties during off-hours and emergencies based on predetermined schedules and needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of facilities management standards, concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to apply them.
  • Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC systems, as well as customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and work effectively in a team-driven environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to position themselves (e.g., kneel, crawl, crouch) to fulfill essential functions more than half the time.
  • Must spend more than half the time walking.
  • Requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position involves commuting between multiple commercial properties.
  • Night travel is less than 10-20% of the time, and emergency response travel is also required.
