As the Security Operations Manager at Cedar Fair, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests and staff while safeguarding company assets and minimizing risk.

Responsibilities:


Assist the Director of Safety and Security in overseeing daily operations and delivering exceptional service within the security department, adhering to Cedar Fair standards to ensure the safety of employees, guests, and property.

Your responsibilities will encompass in-park patrols, perimeter security, communication dispatch, parking lot monitoring, residential areas, and loss prevention strategies.

Oversee the efficient operation of the front gate security screening process to guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.

Manage all facets of the security team, including recruitment, training, development, supervision, coaching, and scheduling.

Implement and manage the park's CCTV and Loss Prevention initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other regulatory bodies.
Coordinate all third-party security service contracts.

Collaborate closely with the Safety team to ensure timely responses to incidents within the park.

Conduct thorough investigations, ensuring accurate documentation is completed.
Provide recommendations to improve procedures based on findings from investigations.
Address and resolve security-related complaints from both staff and guests.
Develop, coordinate, and participate in park emergency action plans. Actively engage as a member of the Park's Operating Manager Program.

Work with senior management to formulate the security department's budget and review existing security protocols, suggesting necessary updates.

Respond to emergency situations within the park and direct security personnel as needed.
Assist in incident command during park emergencies.
Contribute to the development of the park's emergency management strategies and train park staff accordingly.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control, and other security technologies. Knowledge of laws pertaining to proprietary security.

Education:
Bachelor's degree (4-year college) preferred.

License or Certification:
Valid driver's license. Valid permit to carry in the state of MO.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a field related to Safety and Security.

Equivalency:

Relevant experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
