Communications Therapist Position for Capability Health and Human Services

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Capability Health and Human Services. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping clients develop or regain physical or mental functioning by implementing programs to improve speech delays, conditions, and feeding issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals with severe disabilities who may be developmentally and behaviorally challenged.

Responsibilities
  • Develop therapy programs to improve client outcomes
  • Evaluate patients' needs and determine the need for a speech/language/feeding therapy evaluation
  • Interpret evaluation data and write comprehensive reports
  • Maintain clinical and administrative records
  • Manage case assignments and prioritize tasks
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices
Requirements
  • National Board certification for Speech Language Pathology required
  • Current Speech Therapy License from the State of Nevada required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children using knowledge of treatment practices per discipline required
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • Valid driver's license required
Working Conditions

This position will require up to 80% travel within the service delivery area. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs.
