About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Capability Health and Human Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children with disabilities or injuries regain their physical, mental, or sensory-motor functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on daily living skills and sensory-motor activities.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing patient strengths and barriers to participation, guiding evidence-based interventions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records, adhering to professional standards, state guidelines, and agency policies.
  • Manage case assignments and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with NV regulations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case meetings to discuss ongoing treatment and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Stay current with continuing education requirements to ensure best practice and meet Nevada licensure standards.

Requirements:

  • National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification is required.
  • A current Occupational Therapy License from the State of Nevada is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children, applying knowledge of treatment practices per discipline.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required for travel within the service delivery area.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000-$115,000, depending on qualifications and location. This figure takes into account the national average salary range for Occupational Therapists in similar settings.

Location:

This role will be based in Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada, with up to 80% travel required within the service delivery area. The ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, wind, and poor air quality, is essential.
