Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Program Officer, Grants to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and managing RFPs and selection processes for capacity-building grant programs, as well as overseeing and tracking grantee performance to achieve successful grant outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a minimum of four years of experience in community development and/or climate action. They will also have excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong judgement and ability to identify and analyze typical work situations and develop effective solutions.
The Senior Program Officer, Grants will report to the Senior Program Director, Energy Justice, and will be based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel required to participate in team events and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage RFPs and selection processes for capacity-building grant programs
- Oversee and track grantee performance to achieve successful grant outcomes
- Coordinate with operations team, evaluation team, and other stakeholders to ensure grant program success
- Support other relevant Power Forward Communities activities, from energy justice to benchmarking and training and technical assistance deployment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred or combination of education and experience in related field
- Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and social justice
- Minimum of four years project management experience, preferably in relation to community development and/or climate action
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strong judgement and ability to identify and analyze typical work situations and develop effective solutions
- Familiarity with affordable housing and/or community development
- Familiarity with building decarbonization, climate resilience, energy efficiency, and/or high performance building approaches
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, composure, flexibility and ability to adapt to a variety of situations
- Experience with administering competitive grant programs preferred
