Position Summary:

University Hospitals Health System seeks a highly skilled Senior Research Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will split your time between clinical and research responsibilities, contributing to our national leader in educational and community-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement research studies, including writing protocols, informed consent, and funding applications.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute research studies, including clinicians, medical staff, nurses, research assistants, and statisticians.
  • Monitor and evaluate collected data, analyze data generated, and contribute to preliminary data for grant proposals.
  • Present research results in conferences and other scientific meetings, and publish articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Perform patient evaluations and consultations, interpret results, and develop treatment plans in conjunction with patients and their families.

Requirements:
  • Independent research program with potential for extramural funding.
  • Collaborative research endeavors with leadership to build a premier center for swallowing care and research.
  • Ability to work independently, read and critically interpret the literature, and contribute to new projects.
