Working Conditions

This position may require up to 5% statewide travel, which may involve overnight stays.

The position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with CAL FIRE's telework policy.

The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Special Requirements

  • The position requires medical clearance prior to hiring.
  • The incumbent must be free from any medical condition that would preclude the safe and efficient performance of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist).
  • Possession of a bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
