Job Overview

First Western is in search of a Vice President of Banking Operations.

As a Vice President of Banking Operations at First Western, you will be instrumental in assisting affluent clients in reaching their financial aspirations. Collaborating closely with our team, you will provide comprehensive solutions that surpass client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the local Private Banking team; ensure adherence to client service standards, manage staffing schedules, and support training and development initiatives.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new associates, career development, recruitment, coaching, and support for Banking Team Leads.
  • Encourage effective deposit forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM practices.
  • Lead initiatives to expand deposit client relationships, develop new product strategies, minimize client attrition, and onboard new clients.
  • Manage relationships with high-level and complex client accounts.
  • Enhance the client experience, fostering engagement and promoting organic growth.
  • Serve as an escalation point for staff, particularly in commercial banking and treasury management matters.
  • Take responsibility for client issues and ensure resolution.
  • Support sales efforts in developing new deposit business through collaboration with sales associates.
  • Assist in implementing Treasury Management products and services, providing daily support.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual reviews for existing commercial clients.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of teller operations, client services, new deposit accounts, treasury management, banking regulations, and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking; self-motivated.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate First Western's financial products and services.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; additional years of banking experience may be considered.

Experience Requirements:
7-10 years of client-facing banking experience required; 1-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Notary commission required within 90 days of hire.

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $119,000/YR

Job Classification: Full-Time Exempt
