We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at ATC White Plains. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and dispensing services for our Hematology/Oncology practices and patients.
- Work closely with our Infusion Center, Hematology Oncology Unit, and Oncology Physician Practice nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Review patient medication orders against their medication profile, adhering to hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Participate in the Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors program.
- Utilize all aspects of the Pharmacy process to meet the specific needs of oncology patients in medication education, safety, and patient rights.
- Monitor and maintain methods of Infection Control, participate in the PI and Risk Management programs, and demonstrate competency by completing all established standards.
- Act as a professional role model, demonstrating the ability to retain composure under stress, pose problem-solving skills, and practice good judgment and decision-making.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy with a minimum of a BS in Pharmacy.
- NYS Pharmacist license and Current New York registration required.
- 2-3 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Minimum three (3) of annual CE requirements must be in Chemotherapy/Oncology.
- Oncology Certification by NYSCHP or BPS or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in hematology oncology and infusion center operations preferred.
The Registered Oncology Pharmacist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic setting.
