Role Overview:
Under general supervision, this position involves a variety of complex tasks both in the courtroom and office settings, aimed at facilitating the efficient operation of court services and functions for the Clerk of Superior Court.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials of varying complexity and duration.
- Issue warrants and summonses, process court orders, and prepare minute entries.
- Open criminal cases and manage documentation generated in Early Disposition Court and Grand Jury.
- Report case dispositions to relevant state agencies and administer various oaths.

- Oversee and manage exhibits submitted during court proceedings, ensuring proper receipt, processing, storage, and disposal in accordance with legal statutes and established procedures.
- Supervise the audio recording system, ensuring high-quality recordings.
- Review and verify the work of other clerical staff for compliance with regulations and policies.
- Access, input, and maintain data within a database system.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible clerical and/or administrative experience.

Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.

Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of court system rules, statutes, and regulations governing the department.
- Proficiency in Business English, including spelling, grammar, and composition.
- Familiarity with clerical office practices and procedures, as well as current Microsoft Office software.

- Strong customer service and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with the public and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Work Environment:
The work environment is primarily office-based, with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
- Capable of frequent repetitive movements and lifting up to 30 pounds.
