Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM

Location: ChristianaCare

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Electrophysiology Lab team. In this role, the RN will provide essential procedural support and patient education for individuals undergoing cardiac interventions. Our facility is home to the Gerret and Tatiana Copeland Arrhythmia Center, recognized as one of the most advanced electrophysiology suites in the Mid-Atlantic region, equipped with cutting-edge stereotaxis technology for the precise diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. This state-of-the-art technology is available in only a small percentage of hospitals across the United States.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the circulator for pre- and post-procedural activities and facilitate RN to RN handoffs
  • Engage with patients to review their medical history, identify allergies, verify necessary medications, and address any questions from patients and their families
  • Assist in electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, device studies, and ablations
  • Set up and troubleshoot equipment, monitor intracardiac recording systems, and operate stimulators and ablation generators

Qualifications:

  • Active DE RN License or RN License from a compact state
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • A minimum of two years of RN experience is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in Electrophysiology or similar procedural areas
  • Proficiency in EKG and Telemetry is essential
  • BLS certification is mandatory
  • ACLS certification is preferred and must be obtained within one year of employment
