Job Summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Intern to join our team. As an Environmental Intern, you will play a key role in facilitating environmental compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations for public and private clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to prepare reports and environmental permit applications in support of projects for various industries.
  • Review and interpret data as part of new or ongoing investigations, mitigation, or monitoring projects.
  • Communicate scientific and technical information to the project team.
  • Contribute to environmental reports and related materials.
  • Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in progress in environmental science, environmental planning, environmental policy, biology, wildlife management, range management, natural resources management, or related field.
  • 0+ years of related experience.
  • Basic understanding of relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations (e.g., NEPA; Endangered Species Act [ESA]; Clean Water Act [CWA]; Clean Air Act [CAA]; National Historic Preservation Act [NHPA]; Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act [CERCLA]; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act [RCRA]) as they relate to environmental review and approval/permitting of projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time-management, written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
