POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store functions. This includes overseeing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and managing human resources to ensure an exceptional customer journey and optimal profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management

  • Evaluates sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective business and sales strategies.
  • Sets and communicates clear expectations, holding the store team accountable for meeting all brand, performance, and conduct standards.
  • Manages payroll and supply budgets effectively.
  • Oversees essential operational tasks such as scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and payroll accuracy.
  • Conducts all financial transactions in compliance with company policies, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and reporting.
  • Ensures adherence to legal regulations, loss prevention policies, and operational procedures; provides training to associates to reinforce compliance.
  • Manages inventory processes including receipt, dispatch, and daily replenishment of merchandise.
  • Maintains visual merchandising standards and overall store organization reflective of the Brand.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to achieve assigned sales and productivity targets.
  • Trains and develops the sales team to ensure comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Supports locate fulfillment and selling through training and coaching.
Team Development
  • Inspires and motivates the store team, creating a shared vision while exemplifying core values.
  • Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communicates effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to lead positive changes.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal development and actively requests feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Customer Engagement
  • Demonstrates, teaches, and promotes the principles of exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Exhibits sales expectations by utilizing various techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in product selection based on customer preferences.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensures a smooth and efficient checkout experience, staying informed on policies regarding payments, returns, and exchanges.
  • Encourages consistent client communication through customer engagement initiatives.
Talent Management
  • Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a high-performing team.
  • Supports and follows up on training programs and seminars.
  • Evaluates and coaches the store team on performance metrics.
  • Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve human resources issues efficiently.
  • Enhances team engagement by recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance.
  • Ensures compliance with all employment practices and policies.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail management preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with a proven track record in sales and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership qualities and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of retail operations.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives; flexibility to work various shifts is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing as part of job duties.
