Position Summary: The Mortgage Operations Coordinator is essential in ensuring the efficient processing of mortgage applications and the timely execution of all necessary steps in the mortgage lending process. This role involves the assignment of members, prospects, and referrals to Mortgage Specialists, coordinating essential services such as title searches and appraisals, and diligently following up on initial disclosures to guarantee compliance and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily assignment of members, prospects, and referrals to Mortgage Specialists.
  • Coordinate services including title searches and appraisals as required for each mortgage application.
  • Follow up on initial disclosures sent to members to confirm receipt and obtain intent to proceed.
  • Promptly reach out to members regarding any delays or unsigned initial disclosures to expedite processing.
  • Monitor and manage the workflow of mortgage applications to ensure efficient processing.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assigned mortgage files.
  • Collaborate with Mortgage Specialists, underwriters, and other stakeholders to address any issues or delays in the mortgage process.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of assigned mortgage files and any potential challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the mortgage lending process.
  • Assist Mortgage Specialists in managing their workload and prioritizing tasks to meet established timelines.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks or special projects as assigned by the Mortgage Services Manager.

Working Conditions:

  • This position typically operates in an office environment.
  • Regular working hours may include evenings and weekends, depending on workload and deadlines.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in mortgage lending operations or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.
