Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Security Analyst who will be pivotal in establishing new integration methodologies and standards. This role necessitates a strong presence onsite, with a hybrid option available requiring a minimum of three days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer security configurations and document firewall access protocols while collaborating with peripheral network components, utilizing tools such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Global Protect VPNs.
  • Oversee firewall implementations, rule migrations, and the administration of security policies across various platforms.
  • Engage with critical network infrastructure devices, including firewalls and VPNs, to ensure robust security measures are in place.
  • Manage cloud network security by configuring firewalls and monitoring network traffic effectively.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with NIST guidelines.
  • Act as a Project Manager and oversee data administration tasks.

Required Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in IT and security, with a solid foundation in systems analysis, application development, and database management.
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with information security tools aligned with NIST standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of security challenges and techniques across various computing platforms, with a preference for experience with Palo Alto or Checkpoint products.
  • Proficiency in using schematic diagramming tools for infrastructure mapping.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and manage security protocols across multiple IT functional areas, including data, systems, and networks.
  • Assist in formulating and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports on security matters and develop risk analysis scenarios.
  • Monitor and enforce security policies, investigating potential violations and maintaining security controls.
  • Evaluate products and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to business and IT personnel regarding security-related inquiries.
  • Represent organizational security needs in IT projects.
  • Possess extensive knowledge in networking, databases, and systems operations.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
