Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As an Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop automated test scripts using Java and execute tests on both Web Front end and microservice architecture
  • Work closely with developers, shared services team, and product managers to define automated testing components
  • Collaborate with team members to drive test automation techniques and contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork
  • Assist with Scrum Team estimation of stories and sizing of effort to include test automation and engagement with Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Run test validations at various levels, including DB validation, rules validation, logging validation, reporting validations, and UI validation
Qualifications
  • BA/BS with 2 years of relevant work experience; or MS/MA degree; or 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#)
  • Previous experience required with Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber
  • Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber
  • Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Experience with REST/SOAP webservices and APIs
  • Experience with SQL
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in Open Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)
  • Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
  • Prior experience with front-end development including JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program
  • Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance preferred

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
