Senior Research Specialist in Public Health Sciences

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Specialist to join our team in the Department of Public Health Sciences. The successful candidate will work closely with our Chair, Dr. Matthew Gurka, and other investigators to manage a research program spanning multiple disciplines and departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a research program with a focus on maternal and child health research
- Collaborate with investigators and project staff to design and implement research studies
- Develop and maintain IRB protocols, data use agreements, and other research administrative tasks
- Provide data management and analysis support for research projects
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations
- Master's degree in public health, clinical research, behavioral sciences, health sciences, psychology, sociology, or related field
- Five years of specialized experience in research coordination or management
- Experience working on federally or industry-funded research trials
- Strong interest and experience in community-based research and working with at-risk and diverse communities
- Experience with data management software, such as REDCap
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Creative, independent, and highly motivated with the ability to interact professionally in both research and community environments
This is a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This is an Exempt level, benefited position.
