Public Health Research Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Specialist Intermediate to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will support several community-based research projects that target tobacco prevention and control cancer initiatives across a range of populations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement research protocols and IRB submissions.
- Collect, screen, and verify data relating to human subject's research.
- Deliver behavioral interventions and assist with data management and analysis.
- Contribute to study implementation, data analyses, and manuscript writing.
- May supervise student workers and participate in presentations with Principal Investigators at meetings or conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health sciences, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience. Master's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills, including with diverse audiences for recruitment and participant management efforts.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with behavioral intervention research and proficiency in SAS and conducting simple statistical analyses.
The anticipated hiring range is $48,000 - $66,000 commensurate with education and experience. This is a restricted position, continuation will be subject to the continued availability of funding and satisfactory performance.
