Position Summary:

Norco is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Equipment Technician. This role involves the servicing and maintenance of various medical devices, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet industry standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of medical equipment.
  • Performing functional tests to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Re-certifying medical devices in accordance with Accreditation Body standards.
  • Documenting service activities to confirm compliance with established standards.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment post-service.
  • Preparing equipment for shipping and tagging it for patient readiness.
  • Entering service orders and maintaining accurate maintenance records in the system.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and team members regarding equipment servicing.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Completing additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to repair, maintain, and package various medical devices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in data entry and reading technical documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and beds over 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in environments with potential exposure to fumes and dust.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
