Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Ambulatory Psychotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual, group, family, couples, and crisis counseling to patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapies.
  • Assess and Coordinate Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient outcomes.
  • Implement Program Promotions and Awareness Activities: Develop and implement programs to promote mental health awareness, education, and support within the community.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with social workers, nurses, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Related Field: Possess a graduate degree in a relevant field, with a strong foundation in psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S): Hold a valid LISW or LISW-S license, with a strong commitment to upholding professional standards and ethics.
  • Minimum of Three Years' Experience in Behavioral Health: Possess a minimum of three years' experience in a behavioral health setting, with a strong understanding of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess a high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on a PC.
  • Visual and Auditory Abilities: Have normal or corrected vision and hearing, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Physical Activity: Engage in extensive sitting and frequent walking, with occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:

Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
