Position Overview

Job Title: Unity Programming Instructor (Part-Time)

Core Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Director of Educational Development, this role involves planning and leading collaborative instructional sessions focused on Unity programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular meetings with the Director of Educational Development
  • Design and conduct interactive learning sessions
  • Support students in enhancing their computer science and programming capabilities
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Educational Development
  • Exemplify appropriate academic and social conduct
  • Execute additional tasks as required

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to connect with students from various ethnic backgrounds, academic levels, and skill sets.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Exhibit responsibility, a commitment to assist others, discretion, and adaptability.
  • Proficient knowledge and capability to teach Unity.
  • Skilled in instructing students on coding video games using Unity.
  • Ability to gather and evaluate data to inform future teaching strategies.
  • Capacity to work autonomously while applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to teach students of diverse skill and experience levels across multiple programs based on their interests and abilities.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required, along with teaching and/or tutoring experience, and substantial expertise in computer science and/or programming.
