The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in rhetoric and composition, including first-year composition, advanced composition, technical communication, professional writing, and business writing.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in rhetoric and composition, including first-year composition, advanced composition, technical communication, professional writing, and business writing.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Advise students on academic and career-related matters.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing Studies or a closely related field.
  • University teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated currency in subject matter.
  • Demonstrated experience in and/or commitment to teaching and working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and members of underrepresented groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
